Questions about CapyLog
Quick answers about accounts, privacy, rest days, and what you get on each device.
Does CapyLog need an account?
No. You don’t need to sign in with Google, Apple, or email to track your habits.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. CapyLog doesn’t run a database of your habits, and your habit journal isn’t synced to our servers. If you delete the app without making a backup first, that data can be lost.
Can I move my data to a new phone?
Yes. Open Settings, then Privacy & data, then Backup & transfer, and save a backup file. On your new phone, import that file. Importing replaces your current habits and check-ins with the ones in the backup, keeps your settings, and saves a copy of your current data first.
Does CapyLog send any data?
Some app usage data, but not your content. CapyLog uses Google Analytics for Firebase to see which features are used, and Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix crashes. Analytics events use general feature and action categories, not habit names, journal text, or mood notes. The privacy policy has the full details.
Does CapyLog have ads?
Sometimes. Google AdMob app-open ads can appear on later visits in the same day. Your first session each day is ad-free. Where consent is required, you’ll be asked for it, and you can review privacy and ad choices in the app’s Settings.
How do rest days work?
You start with one rest day and can hold up to two. Spend one on a day you can’t check in, and your streak holds. If you miss a day while you have one saved, CapyLog covers it automatically. As your streak grows, you earn more.
Does CapyLog work on iPad?
Yes. CapyLog runs on iPhone and iPad.
Are there home screen widgets?
Yes. Progress and year widgets keep your habits visible on the home screen, even when the app is closed.
Which languages is CapyLog in?
CapyLog is available in 17 languages, including English, French, Spanish, and German.
When is CapyLog available?
CapyLog is coming soon to the App Store. Once it’s live, the download link will appear on the homepage.
